Monday 22nd April "Big Curry Night"
by kind permission of Mr Abdul Ahad the owner of The Spice Village
Restaurant in Emsworth a "Big Curry Night" will be held in aid of our
two local hospices [St. Wilfrids and The Rowans] Tickets are £16 to
include a excellent and varied menu.. Tickets can be obtained from the
hospice shops in the town or from Brendan Gibb-Gray.  Mr
Ahad will donate all proceeds of the evening
[excluding alcohol sales] to the hospices and we are very grateful for
Tuesday 23rd April St George's Day Parade
Both 12 and 47 Regiments [Royal Artillery] will be taking part in our
annual Town parade on [1000hrs] They will be accompanied by the Royal
Logistics Band and George Regis Jazz Band will be playing before the and
after the parade takes place. This is an opportunity for residents and
visitors to show their appreciation for the courage and bravery of the
men and women of our Armed Services.
This year is also the 60th Anniversary of
the end of the Korean War and veterans of this and other conflicts will
be taking part in the parade and will receive the Emsworth Rose from the
Mayor of Havant and the Commanding Officer of the Regiments.

Army Benevolent Fund.

will be closed to motor traffic between 1015 and 1145 to allow the
parade to take place in safety.
